BEHIND THE LENS

Making Take Three Please took about two years and came with a lot of challenges, especially filming in the summer while the story takes place on Halloween. I had to create that atmosphere myself using leaves, set design, and heavy color grading to make it feel real. Along with managing actors and a long production timeline, it pushed me creatively in a lot of ways. In the end, it all paid off with a 17-minute short that premiered to a packed, standing-room-only theater.

“He takes from skater culture. He loves motion in his films,” said Reid Willard. “Even if there is no movement, he’ll add movement in post-production. He loves that in/out feel. That’s his unique style.”
